The Catholic Church uses many beautiful symbols to communicate meaning within our faith journey. Fire is one of the most frequently used symbols with a number of different meanings; the Holy Spirit, purification, or the Light of Christ who brings us out of the darkness with His resurrection. Each year, we light our Easter fire at the conclusion of our Holy Thursday service and keep it burning until the start of the Easter Vigil. If you would like to volunteer to help keep the fire burning, you may review the available slots and sign up. We pray that the shared experience keeps the light of Christ burning within you.
